Encoderse exists to publish useful, accurate technical knowledge. This policy describes how we work so readers can judge our content with confidence.
Accuracy first
We verify technical claims against official documentation and by running code examples.
Clearly labelled
Tutorials, opinion, news and sponsored content are always distinguishable.
Open to correction
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
Content standards
- Articles solve a real problem or explain a concept that readers need.
- Code examples are tested with the versions stated in the article, where practical.
- We avoid exaggerated headlines, and titles reflect what the article actually delivers.
- We write in plain language and explain jargon when it first appears.
Accuracy and source attribution
Facts, statistics and quotations are attributed to their sources, with links where possible. We prefer primary sources such as official documentation, specifications and original research. When information is uncertain or changing, we say so.
Technical content review
Technical articles are reviewed for correctness and clarity before publication. Reviewers check that examples run, that security-sensitive advice follows current best practice, and that steps can be followed by the intended audience.
Updates
Technology changes. We revisit important articles and update them when versions, APIs or recommendations change. Meaningful updates are shown with an “Updated” date; minor edits such as typo fixes are not.
Corrections
Readers can report errors through our Corrections Policy. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.
Sponsored content
Sponsored articles are clearly labelled as sponsored. Sponsors do not receive editorial control over independent articles.
Affiliate disclosure
Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine our recommendations, and affiliate links are disclosed in the article.
Editorial independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors and partners.
Job-related content
Articles about hiring and jobs are editorial. We do not accept payment from employers to publish job listings as editorial content. See our Disclaimer.
